Questions, answered.
A few of the things people ask us most often. Don't see yours? Reach out — a real advisor will get back to you.
Is Quantum Financial Partners a fiduciary?
Yes. As a registered investment adviser, we serve as a fiduciary — we're legally and ethically obligated to put your interests first on every recommendation, not the product that pays us the most. It's the standard we were built on in 2003.
What is your investment philosophy?
We manage wealth with the downside in mind. Instead of a static mix of just stocks and bonds, we add a third dimension — alternatives — and actively manage all three, aiming to limit drawdowns in difficult markets so capital can compound over time.
No strategy, including one designed to manage downside risk, can guarantee a profit or protect against loss. You can read more on our About page.
Who do you typically work with?
Individuals and families, business owners and executives, high-net-worth families, and non-profit organizations. Every client gets a strategy built for their situation rather than a one-size-fits-all model. See our Services for the four practice areas.
Are you an independent firm?
Yes. We're independent and open-architecture, which means we aren't tied to a proprietary product line. We can build a solution around what you actually need rather than what a parent company wants us to sell.
Where are your offices, and where can you work with clients?
We have offices in Overland Park, KS and Omaha, NE, and work with clients across Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa, and Texas. Advisory services are offered only where the firm and its representatives are properly licensed or exempt from licensure.
Who holds my money, and how do I access my accounts?
Client assets are held at our independent custodian, Charles Schwab — not by the firm directly. You can view balances, statements, and activity anytime through Schwab Alliance.
How is the firm registered, and how can I verify your advisors?
Quantum Financial Partners, LLC is a registered investment adviser (CRD# 138112). Each advisor's regulatory background is public on the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) site — we link directly to every advisor's profile, along with their Form ADV brochure, on our Advisors page. Our Form CRS is also available anytime.
How are you compensated, and what does it cost?
How we're compensated and our advisory fees are described in our Form ADV Part 2A brochure and our Form CRS, and we'll walk through them clearly before you decide to work with us — no surprises. If you'd like specifics for your situation, the best first step is a conversation.
Do you handle taxes and estate planning?
We weigh the tax consequences of the decisions we make, and we coordinate with your estate attorney and CPA — or help you find the right ones — so your investments, tax plan, and estate plan work together. We don't provide legal or tax advice ourselves.
How do I get started?
Schedule a consultation. We'll talk through your goals, what "risk" really means for you, and whether we're the right fit — no obligation. You can reach either office or send us a message here.
